Winter Rose Quilt Retreat at the Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Emmetsburg, IA.                                        Mark January 28th, 29th, and 30th on your calendar and make plans to join us for this quilting retreat.  We will have workshops, demos, door prizes, games, and more!  The cost will include sewing, designing and cutting space, workshops and demos, and four meals, (including Prime Rib Buffet, Surf and Turf Buffet, Saturday Lunch Buffet, and Sunday Brunch Buffet).  The rooms will be available for $39.99 on Thursday and $59.99 on Friday and Saturday per night with two beds so they can accommodate four people if desired. NOTICE: Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! American Patchwork & Quilting (see their website for more details) is challenging you to join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference.

Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. Old Alley is participating in this challenge.  Join us on March 11th, and/or April 22nd  (from 9AM – 4PM), and/or May 8th  (from 9 AM – 3 PM) for a “Pillowcase Sew-In”.   Come anytime from 9AM to 3PM.  We will provide the pattern.  Bring your 100% cotton fabric (3/4 & ¼ yard cuts).   Coffee pot will be on.  If you can’t join us, please drop your completed and laundered pillowcase at the store, and we will add it to the stack.  The pillowcases we collect will be sent to:
