Mo’s Basket

Saturday, September 27th  9 AM – 4 PM  Cost $20 + fabric + pattern + x block tool  Teacher Sharon

Mo’s Basket is named after the little reed basket that hid Baby Moses in the river Nile. Who would think a simple nine-patch tweaked with a simple tool could result in such a stunning quilt as Mo’s Basket.  The quilt’s three fabrics appear to weave.  The pieced border looks impossible – but it is just leftovers.  Very fun, see store sample, some pre-class prep.

Easy Striped Table Runner

Thursday, October 2nd OR  Tuesday, October 14th  6:30PM – 8:30 PM  Cost: $12.50 + fabric+ 60˚ Tool Teacher: Sharon

I have said it before, and it still holds.  This is frankly the easiest table runner you will ever sew.  Five seams, one fabric, done!  Old Alley has many new striped fabrics to use in this pattern.  You will use 1 ¼ yd of any striped border fabric. From this amount you will get at least two 36” long table runners and a bonus table mat.  Your finished project will feature six sides and look like you used more than one fabric.  Follow up this class with Karen’s newly designed pattern Turn About Is Fair Play.  She will show you fun ways to use the 60 degree tool to create table runners and toppers.
